Miles Militis
God is first our sole/soul desire,
Fighting on with Holy fire,
In our hearts we move as ONE,
To lead the lost to the Son.
Mark 8:33 “Get behind me Satan, for you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man.”
Reading this, I was putting myself in Peter’s position and getting REALLY scared of Jesus, why would He call Peter Satan?! And I realized how Satan is always working to turn our minds away from the Lord, Satan is always trying to get us to think opposite of the Lord. Brothers and sisters, we REEALLY need to concentrate and set our minds on things of GOD and not our own, when we start to set our minds on the things of man, that’s when it gets dangerous!!! Don’t let Satan control your mind!
Continuing onto verse 34, “If anyone would come after me, let him DENY himself and take up his cross and follow me.” Let us DENY ourselves, our fleshly desires, our sinful nature and take the responsibilities of the cross, and FOLLOW JESUS.
Lord, I pray that You would give me VISION and an OBEDIENT heart that I would really be following you and DENYING myself for Your will’s sake. JESUS TAKE MY LIFE, let it be, everything all of me, HERE I AM, living for Your glory. amen
